Ministries
Baptism
Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and Scripture tells us to make disciples and to baptize them following their decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. We practice "Believers baptism" meaning that the individual requesting to be baptized understands what it means and freely chooses to participate in a public symbol of their inner conviction.
Children's Ministry
In Mark 10 Jesus again admonishes his disciples to allow the little children to come to him, and goes on to say, "I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will not enter it." We at Faith Harvest Fellowship place a great importance on our ministry to children. We strive to use methods that they can easily relate to and desire to be a part of. The Good News of the gospel is always present in all our learning opportunities
Fellowship Events
Hebrews 10:25 says, "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." We are the Body of Christ and we need each other just like the body relies on and is dependent on each part doing its job. (1 Cor. 12:27) One of our core values is "fellowship with other Christians" and we take it seriously. Jesus said, "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Outreach
We delight in sharing God's Love in practical ways within the larger community. We have initiated many ways to take the love of Jesus Christ into area schools, fire stations, and law enforcement agencies. We also encourage our members to invite others from the community to join us for outreach events and for regularly scheduled activities such as Sunday morning worship celebrations.
Prayer Ministries
Jesus modeled a life that gave a high priority to prayer. His Word tells us in many places to pray for others - even those who persecute and belittle us. An important part of His teaching on prayer is that we must forgive others if we want God to forgive us. Our Greater Faith Prayer Ministry on Thursday evenings has far reaching effects. We pray for those in Leadership of our Nation, our States, our local governments and area schools and their staffs, as well as those on the world stage. We also pray for those who attend our Fellowship and other Churches and for those yet to believe. We strive to live out 1 Thess. 5:15-18.
